I am a naturalist raised by naturalists. I am also 1/4 Apache and and Treeseed is my earned name, while Rebecca is my birth name.
Last year I bought 5 acres of pinyon-juniper forest on the side of a mountain in Santa Fe County, New Mexico. I am fulfilling a lifetime dream of a cabin in the mountains and a food forest that will feed me and local wildlife. I want to share this new phase of my life with others that might be interested.

Thanks for coming to visit. I am having a good life on my property and see an increase in wildlife already. I am seeing apex species, which indicates healthy mix of plants as a base. This year I want to see if I can really feed myself and others without stressing wildlife and without irrigation.

I just visited your wonderful article about fungal remediation. I appreciate your visit. I saw Chicken of the Woods mushrooms on my property, to my great excitement. I did not eat them, just one little community. I learned afterward that if growing on my pinyon pines and Junipers they can be toxic… oops. I ordered books by Paul Stamets to learn more about delicious edible fungi. Thank you.
